The TA2020 is a 20W, two channel, bridged amplifier which uses Tripath's Digital Power Processing technology. Class-T is a proprietary technology that offers both the audio fidelity of Class-AB and the power efficiency of Class-D amplifiers. This results in reduced design and system cost, a less expensive and smaller power supply and smaller heatsink.
The IC has extensive in-built self-monitoring circuitry which includes automatic shutdown for over-temperature and over-current conditions and logic outputs for overload (high distortion) and for other internal faults. Input impedance and device gain are user configurable for maximum design flexibility.
Applications for the TA2020 include DVD,automotive audio,
PC multimedia, television, and battery powered systems.
