The Wireless Speaker and Audio (WiSA) Association has welcomed Microsoft’s Xbox brand to its list of members. This follows on from an announcement made earlier last month from HARMAN, recently acquired by Samsung for $8 billion, stating that the audio giant was likewise committed to the association’s wireless-enabling technology.
The partnership between WiSA’s dedication to high-definition, low-latency, multi-channel wireless home theatre products and Microsoft’s latest Xbox One X console (touted as the “world’s most powerful console”) opens up a host of exciting audio possibilities. WiSA integration will allow gamers to create an immersive audio experience with little experience and minimal effort, and choose from an ever-expanding line-up of WiSA interoperable wireless speakers and associated devices.
