THAT 4316 – the Low-Voltage Wireless Solution

The THAT 4316 is a low-power, low-voltage single chip Analog Engine®, designed with battery-operated wireless audio applications in mind.

This low-cost but high performance chip is optimised for use in companding systems for wireless microphones, instrument packs and in-ear monitors, as well as battery-operated dynamics processors – such as compressors, limiters, noise gates and AGCs.

For those building such companding applications, the THAT 4316’s true-RMS-level detector will be of of particular interest, as it improves the sound of the part over averaging or peak detectors.
